Clean Technology Innovation Program launched
11 July 2012
The $200 million program encourages Australian businesses to find innovative ways of decreasing greenhouse gas emissions. Merit-based grants are available for innovative projects aimed at developing new clean technologies and associated services. This includes applied research and development, proof of concept or early stage commercialisation activities.
Project types that may be supported include generating energy from wind, solar, wave, tidal, hydro or geothermal power. Grants range from $50,000 and $5 million, and will be made on a co-investment basis, with the government committed to provide a dollar for every dollar of the applicant’s investment.
