Coller Capital, founded in 1990, is the leading global investor in private equity secondaries – the purchase of original investors’ stakes in private equity funds (venture capital, buyout and mezzanine) or the acquisition of portfolios of companies from corporate owners/backers. The firm has approximately $9.5 billion under management and a truly global reach.
In 2012, Coller Capital closed its sixth fund, Coller International Partners VI, with commitments of $5.5 billion and backing from more than 200 of the world’s leading institutional investors. The firm’s investments range in size from $1 million to $1 billion or more.
Coller Capital has interests in over 300 private equity funds and stakes in more than 2500 private companies throughout the world.
In recent years, Coller Capital has received a number of private equity accolades. In 2010, the firm was named European Secondaries House of the Year by PE News/Financial News for the 4th year in a row. In 2011, Coller Capital won PE International’s Secondaries Firm of the Year award for the 8th successive year, while in 2012 the firm was awarded the Secondaries House of the Year by Real Deals
