Hi [FirstName],

This last month has been busy engaging in dialogue with various Government and Opposition Ministers and key departments such as the Departments of Treasury, Industry and Immigration about major issues on AVCAL’s radar. You can read more about some of the specific policy issues we have been working on above.

Of particular focus this month is the Financial System Inquiry, initiated by the Federal Government’s desire to look at the current structure of Australia’s financial system and layout a ‘blueprint’ for reform over the course of the next decade. The Inquiry will examine how the financial system could be positioned to best meet Australia's evolving needs and support the nation’s economic growth into the future. Submissions for the first phase of consultation are due at the end of this month and AVCAL has been engaging with its members to canvas key issues and reform ideas that should be put forward to the Inquiry. If you have any thoughts to share, please send them to us. Links to information about the Inquiry and the terms of reference are provided above.
