Yalari - AVCAL's Charity for 2006

Raffle
AVCAL will raffle of a magnificent Joseph Jurra Tjapaltjarri painting in support of Yalari, its Charity for 2006. View charity details.

The raffle will be drawn at the annual AVCAL conference dinner on Wednesday 26th September in Cairns. If you have not already purchased a ticket, please do so now! Tickets cost just $100. Buy a ticket.

Auction
AVCAL will also be auctioning a magnificent bark painting by Djambawa, the most important artist in the Yirrkala area of NE Arnhemland. The artwork was procured by Julian Knights from Bill Gregory's Annandale Galleries. This work was featured recently at the Sydney Biennale, and a sister work now hangs in the National Gallery. The retail value of the work exceeds $20,000.

Southern Cross Venture Partners

Congratulations to Southern Cross Venture Partners on the first close of their first fund at A$100 million. It's not often that we are able to celebrate the successful launch of a new venture fund. View release.

The Fund will be capped at A$200 million, a level expected to be reached by the end of 2006.
