The Glades
The Glades Golf Course is nestled in a creek side valley beside the Robina Town Centre on Australia's Gold Coast. The picturesque 6,420 metre championship course was designed by Greg Norman and was voted Queensland 's No.1 resort course by Golf Australia 's 2003 edition of Australia 's top 25 courses.

Competition
The AVCAL 2008 Golf Championship will be an 18 Hole Ambrose Competition. Players will make up teams of four. Prizes will be awarded for:
- Winning Team;
- Runners-Up;
- Nearest the Pin (#3, #5, #13, #17),
- The Longest Drive (#12).

Delegates can elect to play just 9 holes. They must however form a group of 4. Tee off for 9 holes will be at 9.30am. The same cost applies to both 9 holes & 18 holes.

Teams
Delegates can make up their own teams. However, the club will dispatch all teams based on who shows up! In previous years, absentees have created mix-ups with the golf draw - so this year the draw will be done on the morning by the club.

Club Hire
Players may bring their own clubs or hire a set from The Glades. Clubs must be pre-ordered and paid for at the time of conference registration. Each set is $44 to hire.

Dress Code
A collared shirt must be worn, denim attire is not permitted, and shorts must be at least mid-thigh in length. Soft spikes only. Metal spikes are not to be worn on the course.

Transfers
Transfers have been organised to take players to and from The Glades. Buses to The Glades will leave from the Palazzo Versace, Sheraton Mirage, Marriot and Holiday Inn hotels at 7.00am sharp. Buses from The Glades will leave at approximately 2.00pm.

One bus will leave The Glades for Coolangatta airport, the other back to the Palazzo Versace, Sheraton Mirage and Holiday Inn Hotels.

Please indicate the transfer (if any) you wish to take on the Conference registration form.

Cost
Cost for the AVCAL 2008 Golf Championship is $220 (Inc. GST). Registration includes:

• Green fees
• Cart Hire (1 per team of 4)
• Player Pack (including golf balls & tees)
• Hot breakfast
• BBQ Lunch (incl. beer & softdrinks)
• On-course drinks
• Transfers

Club hire is not included. The same cost applies to both 9 holes & 18 holes.
