Dear AVCAL Colleague
Policy
AVCAL
is currently working on a number of different policy fronts. We have
been meeting with the "Australia as a Financial Centre Forum"
secretariat about barriers to encouraging the funds management
industry in Australia. They have been very diligent in canvassing
the issues and discussing them in depth.
AVCAL has also
continued to discuss the problems facing the VC fund managers and
were pleased to see the first stage of assistance with the
announcement of the IIFF (follow-on funding) support. We are
disappointed that it only applies to a very limited number of
companies that have already had IIF/PSF or BITS investment but hope
that continued discussions with the Minister and department will
lead to broader support for the industry.

4. If you are registering more than

available to you, as well as credit card details, dietary
requirements etc. (Each registration is processed
separately).
5. We will only be accepting credit cards
this year for payment.
6. If your organisation will be
processing multiple registrations, consider appointing a coordinator
to manage the process.
7. Your membership profile
dictates how many people may attend the Conference. More details here.
8. No
registration is considered accepted until you receive an email from
our Member Services area confirming your
registration.
